These Easy Tips Can Help You Fall Asleep Faster

Falling asleep every night no longer has to be an endless battle. The Observer recently published an article listing five easy tips that can help you fall asleep. From eating more protein in the morning to downloading apps for your computer, the tips are practical and easy-to-follow. Here are our favorites:

·         Cool down for bedtime. The optimal temperatures for falling asleep fall between 67-70 degrees Fahrenheit. As we sleep, our body temperatures rise, so if we get too hot it makes it difficult to fall asleep and stay asleep. If you’ve woken up in the middle of the night because you’ve kicked off all the covers, you know the feeling.

·         Turning off TVs and cell phones. TVs and cell phones emit blue light, which suppresses our abilities to produce melatonin, a sleep-inducing hormone. By minimizing the amount of blue light we are exposed before bed, we’ll be able to fall asleep faster naturally.

You can read about these sleeping tips on the Observer website. If you’re still struggling to fall asleep, don’t hesitate to give the FusionSleep office a call at (678) 990-3962. Our team of board-certified sleep specialists will be more than happy to help you find a solution to fit your needs.
